We constantly review our preferred investment partners to ensure the most suitable investment solutions are selected for you to meet your financial goals.  We have invested internally in both people and analytical systems so we can measure our investment partner's performance against risk profiles / investment mandate and make changes to our panel where necessary.

Our investment manager selection process

We prefer investment partners that are well established, already managing a significant amount of assets and are proven, not new to market.  We don't like to follow the pack into household brands so many of our managers will not be known to our clients ahead of our relationship.    That said, if a mainstream solution is working we will certainly want our clients to benefit.

We are very cost conscious and want to ensure your investment solution provides you with value for money.  We want to ensure each investment is fit for purpose and each manager is selected to meet your requirements.

What criteria do we consider when conducting our investment research?

There is no single factor that enables us to select the best investment partners and as such we analyse a number of criteria.  The investment universe is huge, therefore we screen funds using quantitative factors before looking at the qualitative factors.

Repeatable performance

Getting 'under the bonnet' of a fund is absolutely key.  Understanding where the returns are coming from and ensuring that they are repeatable is fundamental.  Reading the financial papers and picking funds on previous performance can be disastrous.
